Great for workshops, meetings, classes
S-TESL has two classrooms available as room rentals for meetings, seminars, workshops and training sessions. We do not rent rooms for private social events. Each room can be rented individually or may be combined into one larger space.
West Classroom and kitchen area
We charge a flat fee of $25 per hour. If you are interested in renting multiple dates throughout 2017, we may be able to offer a discount depending on total hours/days booked.
For room rentals 2-3 hours in length, the deposit is equivalent to the rental fee. For room rentals 4 hours or more, there is a $50 non-refundable deposit. Deposits are required with the reservation and will be invoiced via PayPal. Deposits will be applied to the final payment. You will be invoiced after your event and payment is due within 14 days.
Cancellations more than seven days prior to the event will only be subject to the non-refundable deposit fee. Cancellations made seven days or less before the event will be subject to a fee of 50% of the rental agreement.
Weekends: beginning Friday at 3pm through Sunday evening at 9:00pm
Weekdays: 8:00 am – 9:00 pm, as available
Weekday evenings: 4:00pm – 9:00 pm, as available
East Classroom: approx. 460 sq. feet, comfortably fits about 20 people at 4-5 tables; about 30 if only in chairs
West Classroom: approx. 375 sq. feet, comfortably fits about 15 people at 3-4 tables; about 20 if only in chairs
Combined: up to 35 people can be seated at tables; up to 50 people in chairs.
Each room has 6’ foldable tables that can be arranged in a variety of ways.
Equipment: Each room is equipped with two white boards w/ markers, an LCD projector, PC laptop, and document camera. Wi-fi is available.
There is a small kitchen area with two microwaves, a toaster, refrigerator, coffee maker, filtered hot/cold water dispenser. Some reusable cups, silverware and dishes available. Used dishes must be placed in the dishwasher to run before leaving. Rental does not include paper goods or cutlery (paper plates, napkins, plastic silverware, etc.). Staff kitchen has dishwasher and additional space.
Individual men’s and women’s restrooms. May be used as uni-sex if desired.
There is ample street parking. Evening (starting 5pm) and weekend parking is available in the lot on the north side of the building. Rooms are on the first floor and the building is handicap accessible.
Renters must arrange to pick up a key from the school in advance of reservation and return it within 48 hours after the reservation. Unreturned keys are subject to a $50 replacement fee.
Room Setup and Breakdown
Room set up and breakdown is the responsibility of the user. Someone in the renting organization must be responsible for this and must be informed that the school staff is not available to set up/break down. Please be sure to schedule enough time before and after the event, and arrange for enough people to do this. Please return the room to its original arrangement before vacating.
Is the responsibility of the renter. This includes wiping tables (if needed) and disposing of waste in the appropriate bins (compost/recycle/garbage). Dishes are to be placed in the staff dishwasher and the dishwasher run before leaving. Please follow the instructions in the staff kitchen for using the dishwasher.
