As part of our TESOL training and teacher education programs, we hold a variety of ESL classes and study options. We have three distinct programs:

  • The English Gym (year-round) – A monthly subscription model that gives you access to a personal study plan, 1-on-1 tutoring sessions, drop-in sessions, speaking clubs, and a library of materials.
  • Community ESL Classes (year-round) – General English language instruction for everyday topics and situations. You will work with both professional teachers and teacher trainees.
  • Fall Pronunciation Course (Sept 19 – Nov 14) – 9-week course that covers a different pronunciation feature each week (vowels, word stress, intonation, etc.).

ESL classes The English Gym

S-TESL is starting a new ESL program, The English Gym, for busy people who want personalized help reaching their English language goals. Join us for Preview Events this week on Wednesday from 6-8pm and Friday from 10am-2pm. Sessions at those times continue through the month of April. In May, we plan to expand our offerings to several morning, evening and weekend sessions each week. Come as often as you like for a low monthly subscription fee.

This is an affordable program that seeks to provide innovative and quality English language instruction to folks who:

  • wish to supplement regular ESL classes with additional practice and personalized support;
  • prefer a more self-directed approach
  • enjoy socializing with lots of different people;
  • can’t afford courses at language schools, colleges and universities;
  • are unable to commit to a regular timetable of classes.
